This year all of the ladies in grades 7th-11th are taking Christian Light Education’s Home Economics class. Everyday we do one lesson together. The projects are discussed in class--I try and work a little ahead and show them how they are done, and we have sewn a few things in class. When we got to the log cabin baby quilt project, they were a bit stressed. It did seem a bit overwhelming at first. Once we figured out it was largely strip pieced, it looked much less formidable.
As with most of the projects, they are working at home with their sisters and mothers. The results have been lovely. All of them completed the log cabin quilt from Light Unit 5, are here are the finished products. Yay for electives!
