One day recently, we were on journal entry number thirty-two for the seventh grade class, and entry number thirty-three for the eighth graders. Since they'd been doing such an interesting job with the numbers at the top of their pages, I gave them the assignment of just making the number itself their creative art journal entry for the day. As usual, they amazed me.
Okay, this one had me puzzled. I couldn't find the 33 -- at first. Then I saw it! I love it when my students make me think.
