This is not your normal art project. And, at the time, it was quite a mess. But, after they had come inside and washed their hands, you would have never known what they had been doing. I didn’t. Someone grabbed my camera, took the pictures, and put it back on my desk. After I had uploaded (or downloaded or whatever techno term it is) the pictures, I had to ask my husband what this was all about.
He informed me that they had found the leftover bonfire from a Pastor’s Appreciation Barbeque our church held a few months ago, and asked if they could use the charcoal for art, which he approved of. He also told me that they were being creative and resourceful. He was right.
