Welcome to my classroom!
I visited the coast of Maine this summer, and I loved all the nautical stuff. I made the flag banners, and everything in the picture below came from thrift stores except for the bottles. I got those on sale for $1 each.
The painting of the lady I inherited when we bought our house. She was hiding in the attic. I'm waiting until we get to that part of history to tell my students who she is.
I hadn't had a fish tank for two years, so this was the perfect year to bring it back. Everyone loves the giant plecostomus. Sir Sully is the bubble guy. He lifts his treasure chest and up go the bubbles.
The door idea I found on Pinterest. I purchased the metal circle thingy for $4 from a hardware store, and I have no idea what its true function is. The inside of the porthole was a free paint can lid.
We are studying world history this year, so I thought part of my hat collection would look nice hanging up there above the posters.
And, this new shelf houses some of my students' history projects.
