The Document Camera New School Projector Trick

This is a fun way to enlarge art or photographs using any kind of an overhead projector.  We use it for bulletin boards, posters, maps, or anything else that we want to outline and enlarge in the right proportion.

1.  Find a picture of whatever you want to make bigger.  It helps if the view is not from the side but completely frontal.

2.  Adjust the projector until the object is the right size for your project.  In our case, this was poster-sized.

3.  Tape or sticky tac the poster, bulletin board paper, or whatever you are drawing on to the wall or board.

4.  Trace.

5.  Repeat.

We used an old-fashioned overhead projector, a Sharpie, paint, and wall paper border to make this large wall map.
