Gross Science Wasp

A teacher friend of mine sent this picture to me.  She squished the wasp, and out came all these wiggling, gross little worms/larvae/something.  I've researched it, and all I can find is that there is a type of wasp which lays its eggs inside a caterpillar, but nothing like this.  Does anyone have any ideas or information?
