Wolves and Geese Field Trip

On our most recent field trip, we visited the Wolf Sanctuary of PA in Lititz.  The wolves are well taken care of, beautiful, and loud.  We heard lots of howling, to our delight.  Each small pack has their own large area to roam around in, and these two were friendly enough to come close to where we were standing.  It was fabulous to be this close to these wonderful creatures.

Our knowledgeable guide also informed us that because of the warm weather, there were birds already migrating at Middlecreek Wildlife Management Area, so that was our next stop.  We observed Canada geese, lots of pure white snow geese, and tundra swans.

Here are the official numbers from Middlecreek Wildlife: Wow!

We had just enough time to stop by Fox Meadows to get ice cream before heading back to school.  Yay for ice cream and God's amazing creatures.
