I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream

For my last school and homeschool art classes, we had a paint party and painted ice cream cones!

1.  First we drew our ice cream cones using a ruler and center measurements to ensure that our cones were somewhat symmetrical.  Some added optional drips and/or a cherry on top.

2.  Then we blended blue and white paint for the background, painted it on, and let it dry.  (For one class we used a hair dryer and a small heater to speed up this process.)

2.  Next we painted the cones and the top scoop of ice cream.

4.  When those were dry, we painted the bottom scoop and the cherry on top.

5.  Last, we added the darker brown lines on the cones and dotty-dots for chocolate chips.
