A Colonial Honor Roll Celebration

When the students arrived at our front door they were welcomed inside and asked to sign the Swan's Inn guest register.   We used only candlelight the entire evening.

The teachers were the cooks and the servers, and our guests were the students, of course.
Menu
crackers, cheese & pickles
mini pot pies
crusty bread, butter & jam
chocolate pudding with whipped cream
fruit tarts
hot chocolate

The entertainment for the evening consisted of three of us teachers playing fiddle, fife and guitar.  We found real colonial music to play as well.

I found an entire bolt of white fabric for just $7, so I sewed mob caps for all twenty of the lady students.  They looked lovely in them.  We finished the evening with true colonial parlor games such as "Answer the Question" and charades.
