In the middle of the winter, it's fun to get 20 jumps on a mini trampoline every time you finish a class.
The birds continue to feast on our homemade suet cakes. We have identified fourteen different kinds of birds using our identification guides. One of our favorites, a flicker, is pictured above.
We also began sketching these birds. I hope to have a sketch of every bird we've seen at the feeders, eventually.
And we've been completing every science experiment (and a few extras) in our water, wind, and engines chapter. Above, because the molecules move faster in warm water, a drop of paint is diffused much faster than in cold water. Below, spirals cut out of cardstock spin as the warm air from a space heater rises upward.
