I first saw this paper cutting and folding technique on a letter from Czechoslovakia many years ago. I recently researched it and was thrilled to figure out how to do it. The measurements are on the third picture. Once the fold is cut on the angles, you open it up and fold every other piece down and tuck it inside the piece three beneath it. We painted one side of the paper before we cut and folded these.
And, we made braided paper bookmarks and paper dolls during "paper week."
