I was in between what I thought were two pretty exciting art projects and needed something fairly simple to fill up a day or two of art. (We have art class every day.) I had seen some three-dimensional drawings of doors and decided that this would be a pretty easy assignment that all of the students could do. I sketched a few examples of different kinds of doors on the board, gave them a few examples of sketches I had done or found, and then showed the students how to make the doors look three dimensional. I honestly wasn't expecting much, but, as they often do, my students surprised me with some pretty neat doors. Notice the detail in the stones, rocks, rugs, handles, hinges, windows, and designs.
