It had been about 50 years since I had done this when I was in elementary school, but I really wanted my students to experience what had been my favorite P.E. activity, so I found a parachute and ordered the ping pong balls.
The breeze blew, the leaves rustled, the parachute rippled up and down as we shook it, and the colored ping pong balls flew everywhere. We had as much fun picking them up and throwing them back in as we had bouncing them out. Now I'm searching for an even bigger parachute . . . .
