February Fun Day #20 -- Talent Show Day

For the next-to-the-last-day of February Fun we decided to hold a talent show.  This gave the students a chance to share anything they’d been working on outside of school.  The acts included two Lego demonstrations (above),

a reading by an author,

a how-to presentation by the “Mini-House Builders”,

singing,

a gymnast,

musical pieces played by those who are taking private lessons--
the "Flamingo Philharmonic": bells, oboe, and violin, and

                                              the "Two Flute Players",
and lastly, everyone’s favorite, the “Flamencos” (obviously a take-off from the the ladies’ “Flamingos” in masculine form).

The Flamencos sang with guitar accompaniment, sang a cappella (they donned plain suits for this section)

and they vocally accompanied a French horn solo.

The best part was that they sang nice, funny rhymes about the students in the audience.  This one will probably be a repeat for next year’s February Fun -- I meant the talent show-- but hopefully the Flamencos too.
