Three Lighthouses and the Mystery Mansion

No matter where we go, I love to research and visit historical places.  This one was great because it was a historical place on a beach.  Win-win.  It was originally a twenty-one room mansion built with money a family gained by selling one of those cure-all potions in the early 1900s.  Then it was a restaurant, and then the city of Scarborough bought it, and it now sits in ruins at the end of Scarborough Beach, or Scarborough Fair Beach as Jeff called it.  It was delightful to walk down the beach and then explore in and around it.
I also love lighthouses.  I've always wanted to live in one.  The selfies we took at these three lighthouses were pathetic, so here is a picture of me by the beach at one of the lighthouses, and some other pictures of the lighthouses we visited.  The first was South East Lighthouse on Block Island.

This is the Watch Hill Lighthouse above, and the Point Judith Lighthouse below.  We got to see the light turn on around sunset at the Point Judith Lighthouse, and it was extra enjoyable because we were enjoying some fabulous ice cream at the time.
