This week was Camping Week! First of all we set up the tent and got out the camping chairs. We had our science, Spanish, and history classes inside the tent in the afternoons.
We enjoyed the campfires we made, too! After gathering our own firewood, we roasted hot dogs and apples, and then marshmallows to make s'mores. Another day we ate meatball, tater tot, and cheese foil dinners for lunch.
As it was a little chilly outside and we'd already started our fire, we decided to have our Bible class around the campfire on two of the mornings as well.
And since we were practicing our outdoor skills, we also finished tanning the vole skin that we'd been working on by rubbing Neatsfoot Oil into it. It is now a part of our science collection.
