First, we went sledding. Then we found an area with some rocks and decided to find some additions to our rock collection.
The next day the snow had turned to slush; and it was wet, cold, windy, and very muddy outside. We decided to stay inside for the first time all year, I think. Because we had learned about hot springs and geysers in science this day, we watched a livestream of Old Faithful and got to see several geysers erupting.
We wrote stories for a newspaper for our upcoming
Fourteen Course Colonial Dinner history night, and played a fast game of Bananagrams, my favorite game.
And, last fall I picked up this little game for days such as this. It's a fun inside game as the balls are made of light foam. We can still get a little bit of activity even on a cold, blustery day.
